Positive Thinking prevent stroke

Optimists are less at risk of stroke, new research shows.

Scientists found that a positive outlook on life reduces the risk of cerebral accidents as people care to be in good health.

Psychologists from the University of Michigan in the U.S. followed 6000 healthy people for two years.

During the biennium were registered 88 cases of stroke, some fatal.

Participants filled out a questionnaire on attitudes to life. Researchers calculated the level of optimism on a scale from 3 to 18 points. They found that the expression of positivity is strongly associated with avoiding the risk of stroke: for each additional point of optimism, the risk of stroke fell by 9%.

"It is assumed that people who expect to happen in your life happy events are taking active steps to promote health." Said lead researcher Eric Kim.

Scientists positivism has a direct biological effect that stimulates the immune system.

Another U.S. study showed that women who look cheerful in the world, with less risk of cardiovascular disease and pesimistkite have high blood pressure and cholesterol.

Pozitivnomisleshtite women are 9% lower risk of problems with the cardiovascular system. For comparison - the skeptical and pessimistic representatives of the fair sex are exposed to 16% greater risk of developing heart disease.

Doctors say this is due to high levels of stress. It is believed that he is responsible for around 90% of disease. In the state of stress and constant voltage immunity weakens and distorts the work of all systems in the body.

Men also benefit from the expression of optimism in terms of cardiovascular health - research proves it to Dutch scientists.
